In this role, you will play a key part in designing complex ABAP programs, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless integration of SAP modules.\n\nThe work model for the role is: Hybrid in Cary, NC or Cleveland, OH.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead the design and development of ABAP programs, function modules and reports to meet business requirements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.\nPerform code reviews and mentoring of junior developers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.\nOptimize existing ABAP programs and enhance system performance through effective debugging and troubleshooting techniques.\nImplement SAP enhancements and customizations using ABAP, ensuring compliance with SAP standards and guidelines.\nCoordinate with SAP Basis and functional teams to ensure successful deployments and system upgrades.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBS in any field, with 10+ years of experience in ABAP development with a strong understanding of SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, PP and SD.\nProven experience in SAP ECC RICEFW Development, with ability to work and co-ordinate with SAP Basis , security and functional teams.\nProficient in performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs.\nSolid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.\nDeep expertise in ABAP programming language, including ALV reports, BAPIs, and BADIs.\nKnowledge of SAP Workflow and Smart Forms.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with SAP S/4HANA migrations and implementations.\nExperience with SAP HANA, Fiori, and OData services.\nGood knowledge of ABAP 7.4(and above) development features, S/4HANA Extensibility options– Key User & Side by Side Extensibility including CDS views, AMDP\nHands-on experience on SAP Ui5/Fiori development (SAPUI5, Fiori Elements) including knowledge of java script , node.js , html5 and sap ui5 libraries\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies.\nHands-on experience with SAP development tools such as Eclipse and SAP Web IDE.\nFamiliarity with APIs and integration technologies for SAP.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nProactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.\nStrong team player who thrives in collaborative environments and contributes to team success.\nAbility to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.\n\nWhy ABB?\n\nWhat's in it for you\n\nWe want you to bring your full self to work—your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
