Our data centers are industry-leading examples of energy efficient and cost-effective designs.\nYou will:\n\nOwn project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects.\nOwn construction project management and oversight of construction related activities.\nWork alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our Customers.\nBe a leader in your specific discipline (construction management, building services, architectural, electrical or mechanical engineering).\nRepresent Amazon’s owner’s representative on construction sites daily, as, interacting with construction trades.\n\nAt Amazon, we are all Owners and leverage unique opportunities presented to us by owning everything from the design review to construction bidding, execution, and final hand-off to our customers. We develop innovative data centers for our Customers.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nBe Amazon’s construction representative on multiple data centers building and capital improvement construction project sites from construction start through hand-off to operations.\nDirect interface with construction general contractors during the construction bidding, award, execution, punch-list, and closeout phases.\nCreate construction project scope and request for proposals.\nConduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy.\nManage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors.\nPerform construction project management activities, including management of documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, quality, scope, and schedule.\nDrive construction teams to troubleshoot and perform root-cause failure analysis on equipment failures.\nSupport commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight.\nSupport operations of installed facilities, including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.\nSupport capital request creation.\nAnalyze and report construction progress and financials.\nRecord and report key construction metrics to team members and management.\nContribute to construction initiatives aimed at improving construction efficiency and increasing data center resiliency.\nProvide constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimization of existing data centers.\n\nA day in the life\nThe project is located in Sidney, Ohio.\n\nAbout the team\nDiverse Experiences\nAmazon values diverse experiences.
