(DSA) has an opening for a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect as a Key Personnel to support the Organizational Messaging Service (OMS) National Gateway Centers' (NGCs) Command and Control (C2) Messaging Interoperability mission. This role provides enterprise systems engineering, architecture development, and modernization leadership to sustain and enhance OMS backbone and support systems, ensuring reliable, secure, interoperable messaging services for the DoD, the Intelligence Community (IC), other U.S. Government users, and allied/coalition partners.\r\nThe successful candidate will lead the design, documentation, and modernization of enterprise National Security Systems (NSS) architectures, producing technical architecture products that guide implementation, integration, interoperability, resiliency, and lifecycle modernization across mission-critical messaging environments.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nAll hired employees are expected to have experience with Microsoft Copilot and/or an approved equivalent AI solution.\r\nActive DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.\r\nCurrent Security+ Certification.\r\nKnowledge of and ability to demonstrate proficiency using AI to support research and improve engineering workflows.\r\nBachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Additional three years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.\r\nMinimum of eight (8) years of experience architecting, designing, implementing, and modernizing enterprise National Security Systems (NSS) within DoD or Intelligence Community environments.\r\nMust demonstrate a strong engineering background supporting high-visibility systems that transmit worldwide, including ships at sea.\r\nDemonstrated experience producing enterprise architecture artifacts, including logical and physical architecture diagrams, technical design documentation, interface documentation, implementation strategies, engineering design packages, and modernization roadmaps.\r\nExperience translating operational and mission requirements into enterprise technical architectures and engineering solutions.\r\nExperience performing architecture trade studies, technical assessments, engineering analyses, and technology modernization initiatives.\r\nCandidate must hold an IAT II qualified certification (example: Security+).\r\nExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.\r\nWorking knowledge of DoD, Intelligence Community, and Joint interoperability requirements for National Security Systems.\r\nCandidate must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.\r\nCandidate must possess excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.\r\nSkilled in developing and maintaining SOPs and TTPs.Clearance Required\r\nCandidate must have a current Top Secret clearance and be able to obtain SCI clearance.\r\nDesired QualificationsKnowledge of the use of C2 messaging in the DoD.\r\nExperience modernizing legacy National Security Systems (NSS).\r\nExperience designing enterprise architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles, Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS), mission assurance, high availability, and resiliency.\r\nExperience supporting enterprise architecture reviews, technical interchange meetings, engineering review boards, or design reviews.\r\nExperience with DoDAF or comparable enterprise architecture methodologies is desired.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and refine mission requirements and coordinate buy-in with key stakeholders.\r\nDevelop enterprise technical architectures and architectural laydowns that translate mission requirements into implementable engineering solutions.\r\nProduce and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts, including logical and physical architecture diagrams, interface documentation, technical design packages, engineering documentation, and modernization roadmaps supporting OMS and associated National Security Systems.\r\nGenerate feasibility and technical analysis reports upon Government request to assist the Government's decision-making process.\r\nPerform architecture trade studies and engineering assessments evaluating multiple technical approaches, interoperability impacts, technical risks, lifecycle costs, and modernization strategies.\r\nBe responsible for project planning and, upon Government approval, project execution. Feasibility reports may be in response to operational incidents, administrative priorities, or technology lifecycle. The contractor shall ensure specific requirements, objectives, trade-offs, constraints, technical risks, and implementation considerations are included in the feasibility studies. The contractor shall ensure feasibility studies present multiple approaches to risk analysis, software, hardware, architecture, interoperability, and operational procedure changes.
