Works on assignments semi-routine in nature; has the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice when required.\n\nShift:\n\nThis is a weekend shift Friday - Monday 10 hour shifts.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nPerforms daily machine startup and shutdown procedures well as periodic preventative maintenance\nOperates CNC machining equipment and optimizes processes and makes inputs as necessary\nPerform basic troubleshooting of production tools, tooling and test equipment.\nPerforms non-standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and feeds of machining, using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments; in-process inspection, material transactions, perform clerical functions\nPerform inventory management and data entry.\nRead and work from drawings, blueprints, and shop paperwork.\nWorks with a variety of materials\nKnowledge of precision measuring instruments\nPerforms line edits as necessary\nEnsures all manufactured parts are in full compliance to quality standards. Performs visual inspections on all parts produced and performs actual dimensional verification using measuring instruments as per the guidelines established by the Quality Assurance department\nParticipates in process improvements reducing set-up and run times improving productivity\nPerforms special projects/tasks as assigned\n\nPreferred Education\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nPreferred Experience\n\n3 years' related machining required\n\nPreferred Specialized Skills and Abilities\n\nStrong communication skills\nAbility to work with engineer designed reviews; detailed processing sheets; read and interpret blueprints and drawings\nWilling to work extra hours, and potentially weekends\nUses experience and judgement to accomplish assigned tasks and goals\nProblem solving skills\nAbility to work with others and across teams\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nFrequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.\nFrequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.\nLift, carry, push and or pull 1-50 lbs as needed\nSit, stand and walk for 1 - 10 hours per day\nWork in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and appropriate protective equipment as required\n\nSalary Range: Please note the typical hiring range is $25.95 - $35.11 Hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity\n\nEligible candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.\n\nThis position requires access to export control information.
