You will be responsible for creating and enhancing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines and various automation processes, including build management, automated deployments, automated testing, and configuration management.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nTreat infrastructure as a product and provide ideas on continually improving automation services and the resiliency of the platform.\nGather technical requirements and execute deliverables.\nScale infrastructure and applications in an automated way.\nMonitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications and databases\nProvide tooling for all of the engineers.\nFollow and execute Production, QA, Dev, and other environmental change control processes.\nDocument DevOps processes, procedures, and environments to ensure continuity.\nLocation and Travel Details\nThis opportunity is remote and will require occasional on-site support during project deployments. Must reside in the DC Metro area or Austin, TX.\nSecurity Clearance and Citizenship Requirements\nMust be able to obtain and/or maintain Secret Clearance (Interim Secret required prior to starting)\nRequired For This Opportunity\nAutomation:\nProficient in pipeline YAML syntax (experience with DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, or similar is a plus).\nStrong skills in Bash scripting, particularly in a Linux-based environment.\nContainer Management:\nExperience in building Linux-based containers and pushing to private registries using Docker or Podman.\nFamiliarity with container scanning and hardening processes.\nAbility to run containers locally in Docker/Rancher on Windows/Linux.\nExposure to Kubernetes, including tools such as kubectl, helm, and kustomize\nRequired skills:\nMinimum of three years of IT/DevOps engineering experience.\nAt least three years of experience in Windows or Linux Server Administration (with RedHat, CentOS, or similar).\nStrong proficiency in Bash scripting.\nExperience with Linux-based containers.\nKnowledge of pipeline YAML syntax.\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes (kubectl, helm, kustomize).\nProficiency in infrastructure management and associated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.\nStrong experience in applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts; CI experience with multiple tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Visual Studio Team Services, etc.).\nScripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.\nKnowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Visual Studio).\nExperience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).\nUnderstanding of Azure services, including Azure SQL, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.\nExperience in SQL Server administration and troubleshooting, as well as web server administration (IIS, Apache).\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure for deploying highly available, scalable, and secure applications.\nKnowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Application Insights, New Relic).\nUnderstanding of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban)\nNice to Have Skills\nExperience with GOV Cloud.\nExperience configuring AVD/Docker, Purview, Elastic, and/or Kion\nApplied Information Sciences is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis covered by law.
