Your work will directly empower teams to understand auction competitiveness, identify revenue opportunities, optimize floor pricing, and ensure supply chain integrity.\n\nWe own and operate the premier advanced analytics capability within Amazon Ads, delivering innovative AI, modeling, and data solutions that help Holding Companies, independent agencies, technology integrators, and large-scale advertisers make smarter, faster, and more impactful advertising decisions. Log-level data — granular, non-aggregated, event-level information from ad servers, exchanges, and SSPs — provides advertisers with visibility into individual ad impressions, bid prices, viewability scores, and supply path. This is a greenfield infrastructure challenge at massive scale, and you'll be building it from the ground up.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nImplement and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store petabyte-scale log-level advertising data from multiple sources (ad servers, exchanges, SSPs)\n\nBuild ETL workflows that transform raw event-level data into queryable, analysis-ready formats following established architectural patterns and best practices\n\nCreate and maintain APIs that enable analytics teams and data scientists to query log-level data efficiently\n\nImplement data quality checks, validation logic, and monitoring for data pipelines and services\n\nOptimize performance and cost efficiency of data processing jobs and queries\n\nWrite clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards\n\nCollaborate with senior engineers to contribute to design discussions and architectural decisions\n\nDebug and resolve production issues, participating in on-call rotations as needed\n\nDocument systems, processes, and runbooks to support operational excellence\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience\n2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience\n1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience\n1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience\n1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience\nExperience programming with at least one software programming language\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience\nBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent\nExperience using managed ML/AI solutions\nExperience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution, or experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems\n\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\n\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
