HCA Healthcare has committed up to $300 million in programs to support our incredible team members over the course of three years.\nJob Summary and Qualifications\nAs a Monitor Technician, you will maintain close observation of the electrocardiograph patterns of patients. You will observe and interpret cardiac telemetry tracings at a central monitoring station, and record rhythm data at regular intervals. You will also perform a variety of clerical duties.\nyou will perform monitoring of patients who have cardiac telemetry ordered\nYou will constantly observe and monitor patients to detect changes in cardiac rhythms\nYou will obtain a rhythm strip and correctly label it with patient information\nYou will inform the primary nurse of any changes in rhythms or significant changes in rate, as well as any life threatening dysrhythmias\nYou will maintain records of each patient’s cardiac rate and rhythm\nYou will prepare equipment and maintain floor stock for patients\nJob Requirements\nExperience\nPrevious experience as a Monitor Technician – preferred\nOn-the-job training in dysrhythmia interpretation with an 85% pass rate on exam within orientation period\nEducation\nHigh school graduate or GED equivalent\n1+ years of college – preferred\nBasic EKG course – preferred\nBenefits\nSt. David's Round Rock Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
