DescriptionThe Bridge Children's Advocacy Center is a founding member of Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas and a fully accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance. Dedicated to supporting child victims of abuse and trauma, The Bridge provides a safe space for children and their families to receive vital services at no cost. By uniting multiple agencies under one roof, The Bridge ensures seamless support and care, helping children tell their stories without further trauma. The organization relies heavily on private donations and community support to fund its mission of promoting healing, resilience, and hope for every child in the community.Summary: The Development Associate assists in cultivating donors and implements retention strategies to raise funds sufficient for the agency’s annual operating budget. This position works with the Development Director towards achieving optimum results in relation to the available resources.  REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field. Experience in donor database management, event organization, and grant writing are essential. Knowledge of child abuse and investigative procedures desired. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:   Must be mission driven with unquestionable integrity. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with many different constituencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitation skills and a collaborative management approach is required. Analytical ability and resourcefulness, as required in developing and implementing progressive plans, policies and program initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES:Fund DevelopmentExecute the Development Strategic Plan in coordination with the Development Director. Coordinate successful special events (Heroes & Legends) with volunteer leadership.Organize and facilitate procedures for researching prospective donors and cultivating current donors. Execution of donor stewardship plan in coordination with the Development Director.Research, compose and oversee grant-writing opportunities as needed under the direction of the Development Director. Assist with processing income and in-kind gifts.Utilize donor database for record keeping and reporting of all -kind contributions, donations, grant awards and submissions as needed for donor acknowledgement.Follow the ethical procedures of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).·        Coordinate with Outreach Specialist in relation to outreach efforts and events.Additional Responsibilities·        Regular reporting to the Development Director·        Experience in Bloomerang desired·        Participate actively in all major events that include but are not limited to Child Abuse Prevention Month (April) Activities, Heroes and Legends·        Bi-lingual preferred·        Must be able to lift 50 lbs.·        Must have a valid driver’s license.Must not have any criminal history.
