The ideal applicant is self-driven, creative, hands-on, and not afraid to ask questions.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities Create and evaluate design ideas, considering form, function, cost, and manufacturability.\nDevelop design improvement concepts.\nDesign components to meet industry, customer, and cost requirements.\nDefine engineering materials, production costs, and technical specifications.\nParticipate in cross-functional product development efforts.\nSupport project tracking and provide technical assistance across departments.\nWork effectively both independently and as a team.\nInterpret engineering drawings and relevant specifications.\nUphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.\nIdentify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.\nCollaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.\nWork with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.\nComply with all company policies and procedures.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 1 year of experience in a related technical field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nThe level of this position will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.\nPhysical Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and reach overhead. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Requires use of technical equipment, measuring devices, and computer systems. Requires finger dexterity, near vision, and ability to interpret visual data.\nWorking Conditions Work is performed primarily in an office environment with exposure to machinery, moderate noise, and standard shop materials.
