Learn more about our employer brand at makpar.com/careers.\n\nPosition Overview\nThe Software Test Engineer III will lead or perform quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle for ICAM applications. The engineer will ensure application code, configurations, integrations, and functional changes are built and tested in non-production environments before promotion.\nThe role requires balanced experience with automated and manual testing. The candidate must be able to maintain testing, security-scanning, code-quality, and coverage gates in the CI/CD pipeline and validate functional, performance, security, and Section 508 conformance for each applicable release.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPlan and perform quality assurance activities across the full SDLC.\nValidate application changes in development, test, staging, or other non-production environments before production promotion.\nDevelop and maintain automated and manual test cases, scripts, suites, data, and evidence.\nIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.\nMaintain or support testing and quality gates using Selenium, SonarQube, Jenkins, and related tools.\nValidate functional requirements and user-story acceptance criteria.\nPerform or coordinate regression, integration, system, performance, and release testing.\nValidate Section 508 conformance for releases containing applicable ICT or user-interface functionality.\nIdentify defects, document reproducible results, and work with engineers through resolution and retesting.\nReview security scan and code-quality results as part of release readiness.\nMonitor test coverage and recommend improvements to automated testing.\nSupport User Acceptance Testing when required by the federal customer.\nProduce test plans, test scripts, test results, defect evidence, and release-quality documentation.\nSupport production incident analysis by validating fixes and regression impacts.\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience performing software quality assurance throughout the SDLC.\nExperience combining automated testing with structured manual testing.\nExperience developing and maintaining software test plans, scripts, cases, and results.\nExperience testing software in non-production environments before release.\nExperience with Selenium or a comparable automated functional testing tool.\nExperience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD pipeline tooling.\nExperience with SonarQube or comparable code-quality/security-scanning tools.\nExperience with functional, regression, integration, and release testing.\nExperience validating Section 508 or accessibility requirements for software releases.\nAbility to obtain and maintain favorable DHS EOD, suitability, and required system access.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCurrent DHS Trusted Tester certification.\nExperience with WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA criteria.\nExperience conducting performance or load testing for enterprise web applications.\nPrior DHS, or other federal civilian testing experience.\nExperience testing ICAM, IAM, SSO, PIV, PKI, PAM, access-management, or cybersecurity applications.\nExperience with Jira, GitHub Enterprise, Java/Spring applications, Angular applications, MySQL, or containerized environments.\nExperience supporting automated security, accessibility, and coverage gates in a federal DevSecOps pipeline.\nBenefits:\n\nAt Makpar Corporation we understand that we all need to balance work and life – that is why we have a great benefits package, excellent training and career development opportunities, flexible work schedules along with a generous compensation package.
