Avionics software applications include distributed real-time fault-tolerant control architectures, electro-mechanical control systems, engine and propulsion system management, power electronics, control networks, datalinks, and other aircraft subsystems and related support equipment.\n\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:\nIndependently design, develop, test, and maintain software for flight-critical real-time embedded systems in accordance with appropriate development processes and standards\nIndependently track status, risks, and issues for assigned tasks\nIndependently communicate with subject matter experts, cross-functional teams, users, and management throughout the software development lifecycle\nMaintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.\n\nJob Qualifications\nTypically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in computer science, information systems or a related discipline and progressive software development experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.\nMust have a complete understanding of software development concepts, principles, and theory and demonstrate complete understanding and application of programming and analysis concepts.\nMust possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.\nProficiency with C/C++ is required.
