Operations Manager – Children’s Playplace & Parties
As the Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of the playhouse. You’ll recruit, train, and manage staff, oversee scheduling and payroll, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and help grow our customer base through outreach and sales. This role combines operations management with sales, account building, and customer growth responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Training: Source, interview, hire, and onboard new staff members. Lead initial and ongoing training to ensure staff are confident in customer service, safety, and operations.
Team Leadership: Supervise front desk and playroom staff, assign daily tasks, coach and support team members, and maintain strong coverage.
Time & Payroll Management: Approve and track employee time cards, resolve discrepancies, and ensure payroll submissions are accurate and timely.
Customer Experience: Greet families, resolve concerns quickly, and ensure guests feel valued and welcomed.
Operations & Scheduling: Create/manage staff schedules, oversee daily shift transitions, and ensure smooth coverage.
Facility Oversight: Ensure all play areas, party rooms, and snack station are clean, safe, and organized.
Inventory & Supplies: Monitor, track, and order snacks, cleaning supplies, and play materials; coordinate with vendors.
Event & Party Management: Act as the point of contact for party clients—handle sales, confirm bookings, upsell packages, and ensure the party team executes events smoothly.
Sales & Outreach: Proactively build relationships with local schools, daycares, and corporations to secure group bookings, corporate events, and new customer accounts.
Reporting & Feedback: Provide weekly updates on revenue, attendance, staffing, and sales initiatives; recommend improvements for efficiency and growth.
Qualifications
Previous experience in operations, retail, working with children, or children's play place customer service management preferred.
Background in sales, outreach, or account management strongly preferred.
Experience in recruitment, training, and payroll/time card management required.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Flexible and reliable – available to work evenings (location closes at 7pm) or weekends if needed.
