Join us and be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team shaping the future of nutrition!\n\nThe Opportunity:\n\nThe Encapsulation Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining semi-automatic (Model 10) and high-speed (Bosch) encapsulation machines in compliance with cGMP standards, SOPs, and Master Batch Records. This role involves machine setup, disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly, as well as accurate capsule filling, inspection, and documentation. Precision, attention to detail, and coordination with Quality Control are essential to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSet up the capsule machines with the proper tooling required as per the MBR specifications, and manufacturing directions, following the specific S.O.P for the department, guided by the cGMP's.\nReassembly of parts mentioned and filling of blended materials into the product hopper manually with a sanitary product scoop. Also, fill an empty capsule hopper with capsules from supplier box into the capsule hopper.\nCleaning of the tabletop surface and machine guard doors and windows must be performed before reassembly occurs. Only a qualified operator or mechanic is authorized to make machine adjustments on segments, tamping rods and pins. This is an expensive and complex, yet delicate machine.\nAdjust and set up machines to obtain the proper fill weight as specified in the MBR.\nOperate and clean metal detectors and capsule polishers as necessary. Fill sanitary containers with finished capsules.\nVisually inspects finished capsules for minor or major defects, including color shifts and particle size separation.\nRequires coordination with Quality Control on batch record signoff s and anything that violates cGMP's.\nAll tabletop surface areas and base cabinet walls must be cleaned, and sanitized.\nAccuracy and attention to detail is extremely critical.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nHigh School Diploma/Certificate; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to read, write and speak English.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Familiar with the metric system.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems Involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\nMust be able to stand for 10 hours and able to lift 50lbs. Lifting of raw material containers that fall within OSHA limitations Is necessary.\nOther activities include material handling using forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks.
