Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Payrate: $25.50/Hour Schedule: Sunday - Monday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Tuesday - Thursday 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMJob Summary: The Senior Site Lead is responsible for overseeing guest intake, logistics, and daily shelter operations at the Emergency Shelter Program. This position includes managing shelter activities, coordinating volunteers, and assisting with crisis intervention and conflict resolution. The Senior Site Lead will support staff and ensure a client-centered, trauma-informed environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:ShelterOversee and assist in the implementation of shelter activities including logistics and guest intakes to ensure quality, guest-focused, and trauma-informed delivery of servicesAssist in the coordination of volunteers and support servicesOversee the organization of supplies and facility's needsEncourage and discuss progress toward housing with shelter guestsManagementGoal: Support identified program staff, facilitating optimal performanceSupport shelter staff during designated shiftsAssist in various aspects of staff's dutiesAssist in coordinating and managing special group events and holiday eventsProvide crisis/conflict interventionCommunicate any staff or shelter issues to Program ManagerAdministrationGoal: Oversee administrative duties that support program servicesCoordinate supply and service needsAssist with securing necessary resourcesAssist with record keeping and reportingMiscellaneousAttend staff meetings and training workshops as neededAssist with general duties (stocking supplies, copies, fax, phone calls, etc.)Perform ad hoc projects as appointed by SupervisorExperienceEnsure a client-focused, trauma-informed, and housing-focused shelter approachAbility to perform crisis intervention as neededPrevious shelter experience is preferred but not requiredGeneralAbility to work effectively with a diverse population; plan, organize and prioritize duties; perform crisis intervention as needed; clearly communicate information and instructions verbally and in written form; maintain a positive, professional and safe environment while on duty; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersPossess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals who present for services with urgent multiple case management and health needsDependability, responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively and respectfullyFluency in Spanish is of significant valuePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 poundsProlonged periods of standing and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
