In this role, you will contribute to system design, analysis, documentation, and coordination efforts from concept through construction. You will work closely with senior engineers and collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, code-compliant project delivery.\n\nProject experience spans healthcare, education (K–12 and higher ed), federal and military, justice, commercial, industrial, residential, hospitality, data centers, and other institutional markets.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport design of HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and related mechanical systems\nDevelop layouts, calculations, and construction documents across all project phases\nPerform system sizing, engineering analysis, and technical problem-solving\nCoordinate with internal disciplines and external project stakeholders\nAssist with construction documentation, specifications, and technical reporting\nSupport field coordination to ensure design intent is met during construction\nProvide guidance to junior staff as appropriate\n\nQualifications\n\nB.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)\n6+ years of mechanical/plumbing building systems design experience\nPE license preferred\nExperience with HVAC, hydronic, controls, and plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, venting)\nExposure to medical gas and fire protection systems is a plus\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)\nExperience with load calculation tools (e.g., Trane TRACE or equivalent)\nFamiliarity with building codes and standards\nExperience with specification writing (AIA MasterSpec or SpecsIntact preferred)\nStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\n\nA bit about us:\n-\n\nWe are a nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm with a long-standing reputation for delivering innovative, people-centered design solutions.
