The Linux Systems Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting infrastructure, Linux system administration, network troubleshooting system administration, scripting (bash/python), creating YouTube videos, creating lab tutorials and lab simulations in Google Cloud and VULTR and infrastructure tasks in Github or Gitlab on a day-to-day basis.REQUIRED: You must have a Linux IT Vendor Issued Certification! Do NOT apply if your not certified.QualificationsTroubleshooting and System Administration skillsLinux System Administration and Scripting skillsExperience in Infrastructure managementAbility to work independently and remotelyStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsRelevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, LFCS or RHCSA (Minimum)Interest in Cybersecurity and ethical hacking is a plusMust know how to use GitHub or GitLab Must know how to create tutorials and upload to YouTube (e.g. Loom, ScreenRec, etc)REQUIRED: Linux Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, LFCS, RHCSA or higher)Strong motivation to support veterans, impoverished persons and cybersecurity initiativesUsage of non-traditonal office based software (e.g. OnlyOffice, Google Docs, etc)Usage of a Primary Linux Desktops (e.g. We will only support Ubuntu and Rocky Linux)NOTE: We do not use or support Microsoft products in our business (i.e. MS Windows or MS Office).Usage of Canva, Visme, Pixlr, etc. to create graphics for presentations or tutorialsSmart usage of AI (Google Gemini, ChatGPT or Anthropic Claude.AI) for code writing or troubleshootingMust know how to use Visual Studio Code or similar for code revision, check-in or check-out for scripts, etc.Self-learner, self-motivated and a self-starter that needs little managementPatient communications with people with heavy accents or non-native English speakers.Must know the difference between bootlegging to save time and creating original content.Must be able to communicate fluently and understandably in English for creation of YouTube and Tutorial videos (Other language skills are encouraged and fully supported!)Preferred Countries:Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Tanzania, Zambia, Qatar, Zimbabwe, UAE, Canada, Mexico or PhillipinesIdentification:Must have Government or Country ID for verification purposes.Hardware:Must have your own laptop to work from (you cannot work from a mobile phone).Education:You must have completed a vendor issued Linux Certification (e.g. CompTIA Linux+, LFCS/RHCSA (Preferred) or Higher).
