Our projects range from waterfront estate homes and luxury residential communities to specialty development and construction opportunities.We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge, estimating experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.Position OverviewThe Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed project budgets, bid packages, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses for luxury residential and development projects. This person will work closely with ownership, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately budgeted and positioned for successful execution.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential construction costs, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed construction estimates and budgets for residential and development projectsPerform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses from plans and specificationsSolicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricingDevelop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliersAssist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunitiesAnalyze plans, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and completenessCoordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers during preconstructionTrack pricing trends and maintain updated cost databasesAssist with budgeting during acquisition and feasibility stagesPrepare bid packages, scopes of work, and estimate summariesSupport project teams throughout preconstruction and construction phasesExperience and Qualifications3 to 7+ years of estimating experience in residential or commercial constructionLuxury residential construction experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project sequencingAbility to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plansExperience preparing detailed budgets and quantity takeoffsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating softwareExperience with project management and budgeting platforms preferredFlorida construction experience preferredAbility to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneouslyWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on high-end luxury residential and development projectsFast-paced entrepreneurial work environmentCompetitive salary ($65,000 to $75,000) plus performance-based incentivesOpportunity for long-term growth within a rapidly expanding companyDirect exposure to ownership, acquisitions, and project strategyLocationJacksonville / Ponte Vedra Beach, FloridaTo ApplyPlease send your resume and a brief introduction outlining your experience and interest in the position to careers@terrainnovations.com.Terra Innovations is an equal opportunity employer.
