You will be responsible for the overall supervision, direction, and coordination of all plant activities with respect to production, quality, material flow, and maintenance. In cooperation with Plant Manager, this position will make recommendations as to hiring, training and re-assignment of plant personnel.\nWhat We Offer:\nMedical, dental, & vision insurance with competitive premiums\n401(k)\nUp to $5,250 of educational assistance per calendar year\nPTO + 9 paid company holidays\n3% annual value share plan\nThis job is for you if…\nYou are an effective people leader and hold people accountable as well as celebrate success\nYou love to improve the way a plant runs\nYou are comfortable wearing multiple hats including safety, managing employee performance and love to deliver on operational metrics\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain a high visual profile in Rotational Molding and Assembly, make frequent personal spot checks to observe departmental activities and supervise solutions to all problems in production.\nDetermine if work schedules are being met, supervise necessary adjustments or repairs to resume and maintain production standards and meet all cycle times without sacrificing production quality.\nEnsure correct pigments and powders are in mixers and are being used for parts produced.\nCooperate and communicate with Quality Control department to maintain standards of quality.\nManage production to optimize machine efficiency and minimize rejections.\nEnsure safe working conditions for all employees and that the plant is clean and ready for the next shift to start without delay.\nSupervise, evaluate, and ensure all department personnel are aware of and comply with Company policies and standards.\nRecommend, cooperate, and assist in the implementation of training and development programs, maintain discipline within Company standards and implement prescribed disciplinary action.\nPrepare operational reports when required.\nMaintain and check on inventory of materials and supplies used in production and report shortages.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nEducation (required or preferred): B.S. degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management\nCertifications (required or preferred):\nYears of Supervisory experience (required or preferred): 3-5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing supervision is preferred.\nIndustry experience (required or preferred): Knowledge of machine and processes, equipment, and materials is essential.\nDemonstrated leadership abilities in managing employees to enhance team-building skills is a plus.\nMust at all times possess the mental maturity and temperamental ability to maintain sound employee relations.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate responsibilities to appropriate resources.\nUnderstanding of mechanical equipment, operation, and maintenance.\nAssist in preparing graphs and/or charts on efficiency and quality of rotational molding department.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
