Summer Camp Program Director

We are looking for a Summer Camp program director for our gym. The Summer Camp program director will oversee, staff and work our school aged Summer Camp program. The ideal candidate is outgoing, pleasant, loves children of all ages and abilities, a team-player and be goal-oriented while considering the child as a whole. Candidates need to have extensive experience working with school aged children attending grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. The candidate will undergo a background check. The position will be seasonal. Our Summer Camp will run from May 26 through the Friday before Iredell Statesville Schools start back. Position may be started early with limited hours for planning purposes. Job responsibilities: * Create, oversee and staff Summer Camp schedule. Plans from previous years are available. All activities will be be in house. Create daily detailed schedule at least 2 weeks in advance (play time in gym, arts and crafts, movie time, etc) * Communicate camp schedule with all staff. Creating weekly staff schedules well in advance, with a plan for sick call outs. * Work Summer Camp daily, up to 40 hours per week. * Communicate with parents via telephone, email, and in person. * Monitor Summer Camp email account: check at least twice daily during the week. * Work with office manager and gym manager on all issues. Communicate weekly plan at least 2 weeks in advance to office manager and gym manager to make sure they comply with all KPAC rules and regulations.
