Our client seeks a Desktop Engineer who will be responsible for advanced and in-depth troubleshooting of Windows 11 operating systems, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Microsoft Office applications, as well as the management and support of iOS mobile devices and third-party applications. This role requires expert-level proficiency in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop for endpoint management, deployment, and security. The Desktop Engineer leads efforts to resolve complex technical issues and optimize endpoint environments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Execute advanced, in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues related to Windows 11 operating systems, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Office applications, iOS mobile devices, and third-party applicationsAct as the subject matter expert for SCCM, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop, designing, implementing, and optimizing endpoint management solutionsBuild and maintain automated workflows for deployment, updates, and application packaging of Windows 11 operating systems and Azure Virtual Desktop using SCCM and IntunePartner with cross-functional teams to define and enforce endpoint security policies, focusing on Windows 11 operating systems, Azure Virtual Desktop, Office environments, iOS mobile devices, and third-party applicationsProduce and maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for troubleshooting procedures and endpoint management processesRecommend and implement improvements to endpoints to ensure optimal performance and reliability of applicationsMonitor technology standards and trends to ensure best practices in endpoint management and troubleshootingEngineer and deploy customized Windows OS images, applications, and drivers across all supported desktop, laptop, and Azure Virtual Desktop platformsAssemble and update application packages on a consistent basisDiagnose and resolve endpoint-related issues, ensuring minimal impact on user productivity.Administer Group Policy and Group Policy Preference objects in support of Windows 11 and Office 365 environmentsCoordinate escalation and troubleshooting of third-party software and hardware vendor issuesLeverage SCCM and Intune for patch management, software distribution, and inventory controlEnforce best practices for system updates, ensuring a secure and up-to-date endpoint environmentScript and maintain automation solutions to streamline endpoint management tasksAutomate repetitive processes through scripting solutions to improve overall efficiency Position Specific Skills and Requirements: Possesses over 8 years of experience in Endpoint EngineeringDemonstrated expertise in Windows 11 operating system architecture, Azure Virtual Desktop, servicing, and in-depth troubleshootingAdvanced proficiency in SCCM, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop, including custom configuration, deployment, and reportingExperience managing and troubleshooting iOS mobile devices and third-party applications in an enterprise environmentIn-depth knowledge of Office application troubleshooting, including plugin and integration issuesExperience with PowerShell scripting for automation and diagnostics in Windows 11 environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issuesExcellent communication skills for documenting solutions and training team membersExperience with antivirus client and policy management tools, such as Microsoft DefenderExperience with Group Policy Object and Group Policy Preference customizationsProficiency with endpoint troubleshooting tools such as Process MonitorEducation and General Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a strong academic record.Professional certifications a plusAttributes expected of all candidates include responsibility, honesty, reliability, initiative, patience, attention to detail, determination, taking pride in one’s work, and a desire to learnInterpersonal skills necessary to interact and work productively as part of the Information Systems team, delivering high-quality services to the Firm and our clientsAbility to meet deadlines and effectively complete operational and project-based assignmentsAbility to communicate effectively, in person and in writing, with Firm personnel at all levels and outside parties as necessaryAbility to work independently and contribute to team goalsAttendance Requirements:On-site during normal working hours and available as necessary before or after normal working hours to work at the Firm, over the telephone, or at off-site meetings, to meet the demands of the job and the needs of the Firm.Expected to carry a wireless email device and respond when necessaryTravel Requirements:Ability to engage in off-site travel as required from time to time, in order to meet the demands of the job, and the needs of the FirmJobID: 48019
