We also want to see a passion for machine-learning and research.\n\nEssential Functions\nIdentify valuable data sources and automate collection processes\nUndertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data\nAnalyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns\nBuild predictive models and machine-learning algorithms\nCombine models through ensemble modeling\nPresent information using data visualization techniques\nPropose solutions and strategies to business challenges\nCollaborate with engineering and product development teams\nThe analyze and identify trends to allow the organization to make decisions based on the data\nExperience in data mining\nUnderstanding of machine-learning and operations research\nKnowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset\nExperience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)\nMay be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise.\nCompetencies\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, keen attention to detail, flexibility in adapting to changing environment, timely follow-through, and a commitment to learning new skills are required.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills and the willingness to be proactive and take initiative are required.\nThe ability to build and use effective working relationships and to work independently as an effective team player are required.\nAnalytical mind and business acumen\nStrong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)\nProblem-solving aptitude\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nSupervisory Responsibility\nNone required for this position\n\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.\n\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.\nOccasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.\nExpresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.\nFrequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds.\nMust be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.\n\nTravel\nNo travel required for this position.\n\nExperience\n7-10yrs of proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst\n\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in a technology discipline or related field or equivalent work experience directly within functional area\n\nSecurity Clearance\nMust possess a Public Trust.\n\nDrug Free Workplace\nAll Native Group is a Drug Free Workplace.
