This role is essential in maintaining efficient and effective purchasing operations through communication with suppliers, processing orders, and collaborating with project and office teams. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.\nResponsibilities:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions\nSolicit material and equipment project pricing.\nCreate and issue purchase orders (POs) for projects and overhead.\nInput information and update records in Web-based applications and ERP systems.\nConfirm orders with suppliers and communicate delivery schedules with site teams.\nSchedule and coordinate shipping and deliveries.\nSource, vet, develop, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring positive and productive partnerships.\nTrack and record project equipment rentals and returns.\nMaintain accurate records and reconcile credit card purchases.\nAssist in ordering office supplies for headquarters.\nSupport integration projects with cross-functional teams, such as implementing new purchasing processes or ERP systems.\nPrepare regular reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.\nOrganize and maintain purchasing folders (both digital and physical) for easy access to up-to-date records.\nSupport cost-saving initiatives by negotiating discounts and identifying savings opportunities.\nSupport the operations team in forecasting project deliverables by providing timely information, purchase schedules, and tracking updates.\nLocation:\nThis position is onsite in our New Brighton, MN office\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn new software such as ERP and web-based purchasing systems.\nAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.\nCollaborative team player and proactive contributor.\nDemonstrates adaptability and effectiveness in high-speed environments.\nQualifications:\nAn associate’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.\nTravel Requirements:\nOccasional travel to project sites or other API Inc. locations as needed.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
