Vantor is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with an active clearance to help advance a mission‑critical geospatial platform. In this role you’ll join a full‑stack engineering team responsible for sustaining and advancing a large‑scale cloud mapping platform used by operational analysts globally. The platform draws on contributions from a vetted community, transforming crowdsourced geospatial updates into validated data that powers secure analytic environments. You’ll play a key role in designing and operating the infrastructure that powers this capability, working across the entire technology stack, from cloud architecture and automation pipelines to platform reliability and security. If you thrive on solving complex engineering challenges and building scalable systems that directly support mission outcomes, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.\nResponsibilities Assist with the design and implementation of DevSecOps processes and engineering practices across the geospatial software stack.\nBuild, maintain, and improve CI/CD automation pipelines to accelerate secure software delivery.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning infrastructure, networking, automation pipelines, and applications.\nManage and optimize mapping enclaves and platform deployments supporting multiple mission customers.\nContribute to defining the technical roadmap for future platform capabilities and integrations.\nAdvocate for and strengthen Agile engineering practices, enabling the team to rapidly deliver new capabilities.\nMinimum Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.\nMust be willing and able to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.\nSecurity+ Certification or ability to acquire a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nProven experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD automation pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).\nBe willing and able to work onsite in Herndon, VA, with a portion of the time worked inside a SCIF.\nPreferred Qualifications Experience architecting highly available, scalable systems in AWS.\nBackground in database administration, particularly PostgreSQL/PostGIS performance tuning.\nExperience leading development efforts or serving in a technical leadership capacity.\nPractical knowledge of PKI, SSL/TLS certificate management, and related security tooling (Keytool, OpenSSL).\nStrong organizational and multitasking skills.\nProven ability to lead engineering teams and drive technical initiatives.\nPay and Compensation The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is $113,000 – $150,000 – $165,000 annually. For all other states, geographic cost‑of‑labor adjustments are applied to provide market‑driven ranges.
