This role ensures guest satisfaction while adhering to safety and legal guidelines for beverage service.\n\nEssential Functions and Duties:\nMix, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.\nSet up and stock the bar with necessary beverages, glassware, and supplies before each shift or event.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.\nMonitor guest consumption of alcohol and follow established guidelines for responsible beverage service.\nInteract with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing prompt and courteous service.\nProcess guest payments accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.\nRestock bar supplies and beverages as needed throughout the shift.\nEnsure proper handling of cash and credit transactions, following hotel or outlet procedures.\nAssist with inventory management and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Bar Manager.\nFollow opening and closing procedures, including cleaning bar equipment and securing stock.\nHandle guest inquiries or complaints promptly, ensuring a positive guest experience.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nRequired Experience, Education, and Skills:\nPrevious experience as a bartender or in a food and beverage role is preferred.\nKnowledge of drink mixing, garnishing, and serving techniques.\nAbility to handle cash and process payments accurately using POS systems.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.\nKnowledge of alcohol safety regulations, with TIPS certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).\nWork Environment:\nPrimarily an indoor environment, with frequent standing and walking required during shifts.\nExposure to bar equipment and cleaning chemicals.\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.\nFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.\nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
