Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Care Practitioner

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Respiratory Care Practitioner ** to work at a facility in Stockton, California . These are registry positions with our company.**Pay Rate: ** $40 / hour*W2Shift Details: :Medical OT-8HR Class: RCP Shift: Night and morning shift 5/8s: Mon-Thurs 1:30pm-10:00pm (30) and Sun 8:30am-5:00pm (30)Duties:Identifies breath sounds, recognizes abnormal breath sounds, recognizes abnormal arterial blood gases, identifies amount and character of secretions, determine need for supplemental oxygen/suction 2. Reports changes in patient's status to charge nurse or physician and staff caring for patientDocuments Respiratory Care consistent with hospital charting standardsComplies with hospital policy for receiving doctor's orders, including verbal and phoneAccurately gives report to oncoming shiftReports extraordinary patient problems to supervisor, director or administrator as necessaryComplies with hospital policies and procedures for selected precautions, i.E.;seizure, suicideUses principles of body mechanics in mobilizing patient or objectsAsks for help when lifting heavy patientsComplies with policies for restraintsComplies with policies for electrical safetyChecks the Emergency Equipment policyIncorporates infection control principles in practiceDemonstrates skills related to the management of emergency situationsComplies with policy for cardio-pulmonary arrestDemonstrates competency for ABG drawing and samplingDemonstrates competency for Quality Control and ABG analyzersQualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Respiratory Care PractitionerAbility to build rapport with patientsCompassionate and caring demeanorFamiliarity with medical terminologyA valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)Must have up to date credentials in the state of CaliforniaIf interested, please apply through this job post.
