Led by principal designer Jessie Alfieri, our boutique studio blends refined aesthetics with hands-on project management expertise to deliver thoughtful, high-quality design and build solutions.We’re currently seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, design-driven professional who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of design—and who can pivot smoothly between busy project phases and quieter support periods.Our projects span high-end residential, hospitality, and boutique commercial spaces, and we value team members who bring initiative, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing mood boards, finish palettes, and specification bindersCreate and update AutoCAD drawings and SketchUp modelsSource materials and finishes, contact trade vendors, and request quotes, pricing, and lead timesSet up and manage trade accounts and oversee order fulfillment trackingMaintain pricing spreadsheets, budgets, and material schedules in Excel or Google SheetsVisit project sites to assess design progress, meet with contractors, and gather notesPromote Jessie Alfieri Designs to local general contractors and suppliersProvide project support and personal assistant tasks to the principal during slower periodsBe open to receiving instruction and mentorship, applying guidance to refine your skills and contribute effectivelyQualificationsProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)Familiarity with trade vendors and sourcing proceduresExperience with Excel or Google Sheets for tracking budgets and materialsUnderstanding of billable hours and efficient workflowExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsPositive, adaptable attitude and passion for design excellenceTraining and CompensationThe role begins with a 30-day onboarding period at $18/hour, giving you hands-on experience with our design process and studio workflow.
