The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing leadership necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting design/development. The place of performance for this contract is in Washington, DC and is NOT remote.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build, and test a web-based application.\nEdit site content for various components.\nMaintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines.\nUtilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree.\nProficient in React.js and NodeJS.\nProficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.\nProficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.\nExperience building and working with RESTful web services.\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD, Jenkins, Gitlab-CI.\nKnowledge of image authoring tools, ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.\nUnderstanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.\nBasic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.\nExperience working with open source software.\nExperience with TypeScript (Intermediate).\nExperience with Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) (Intermediate).\nExperience with Structured Query Language (SQL) (Intermediate).\nExperience with React.js (Advanced).\nExperience with Node.js (Advanced).\nExcellent verbal and written skills.\nDetail oriented.\nAble to work independently.\nPREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:\nProficient in working with relational databases (Postgres and MySQL preferred).\nExperience with AWS containerization.\nExperience working with a content management system such as Drupal to create, manage, and theme content.\nExperience working in Unix/Linux environment.\n508 compliance development.\nAbout Us:\nSoft Tech Consulting, Inc. is a woman and minority-owned small business headquartered in Chantilly, VA.
