Join an Employee Resource Group, participate in an international lunch, or celebrate your heritage to find your place of belonging.\nFind Your Future – Whether you are interested in the opportunity to work seasonally or looking to launch your career, GEODIS is the place!\nEligibility varies based on location, job, employee type, or length of service.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\nCoordinates daily activities within the distribution center\nSupervises staff and directs work as they execute activities related to order fulfillment, order management, inventory management, stocking, material handling, equipment usage, and related needs\nPrepares work schedules and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs\nManages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system\nInterviews and trains prospective and new team members\nSupervises business support staff development including appraising performance, rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems\nEnsures team understands and works toward performance goals\nRecommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center\nReviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels\nEnsures compliance to all company and customer policies and procedures including safety\nSchedules work for special and periodic inventories\nTraces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies\nAssigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and ISO9002 procedures\nStudies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of team.\nPrepares reports for leadership\nAssists in maintaining the physical properties of the warehouse\nSubmits weekly, monthly and other special services billing to customer services representatives\nSupervises employees in distribution center operation in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws\nOther duties as required and assigned\nFor food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action\n\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent\nMinimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution center experience\n1 year of supervisory experience preferred\nExperience with warehouse equipment\nExperience with warehouse management systems\nExperience with labor management systems\nPC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form\n\nThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
