This includes product knowledge, cold chain management, quality assurance, food safety and product merchandising. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in fresh meat and seafood cutting and merchandising operations.\r\nReports To: Vice President of Merchandising\r\nLocation: Corporate Office - Edina, MN\r\nClassification: Full Time, Exempt\r\nRate of pay: $135,000 - $160,000 / year, based on experience\r\nHours: Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work required\r\nJerry's work perks:\r\n\r\nHealth / Vision / Dental Insurance\r\nPaid Time Off\r\n401K + match\r\nStore Discount\r\nDiscretionary bonus\r\nMonthly phone stipend\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nExperience in retail meat at a manager or director level\r\nUnderstanding of financial statements and marketing plans and their impact on profit, revenue, and volume\r\nProven leadership and ability to lead by influencing others both formally and informally\r\nDemonstrated success record in collaborating with multiple functional areas to achieve overall company goals\r\nExperienced with successfully leading large-scale projects across multiple retail locations\r\nAbility to apply strategic and analytic thinking to develop best practice retail programs\r\n\r\nKey responsibilities\r\n\r\nCoordinate with Store Managers to ensure that performance and merchandising standards are met\r\nAnalyze profit and loss results; ensure that meat product delivers sales and profit in each store\r\nProcure product and provide balanced and profitable recommendations for our ads including making weekly adjustments in pricing based on cost changes, cutting tests and competitive weekly price checks\r\nEnsure food safety and sanitation are executed flawlessly within the meat and seafood environments\r\nBuild relations and collaborate with vendors to ensure product innovation, negotiate best cost of goods and build confidence to gain investment in company programs and initiatives\r\nEnsure marketing campaigns and offerings meet company standards and properly reflect industry trends\r\nImplement new strategic initiatives that deliver revenue growth and/or improved customer experiences, securing buy-in from store leadership, operations and other cross-functional stakeholders\r\nCreate merchandising plans to drive sales\r\n\r\nOur ideal candidate has\r\n\r\n10+ years in retail meat and/or meat experience including perishable products and programs\r\n3+ years of director-level, and/or sales manager experience; with a large-scale retailer preferred\r\n3 - 5+ years retail operations, including experience in retail meat operations\r\nBachelor's degree, recommended.
