Please see below the details of this career opportunity and how it fits into our organization’s success.Summary Of The JobThis position can be based in either our Omaha, NE or Kansas City office.FNBO is seeking a technology leader to drive the engineering capabilities behind our Credit Card Partnership business, a critical growth engine for the bank.This Director of Technology will lead high-performing teams of front-end and API engineers, delivering modern, scalable digital experiences and partner integrations that power our co-branded credit card offerings.This role is ideal for a strong people leader with deep software engineering experience who is passionate about building teams, modernizing capabilities, and partnering closely with the business to deliver measurable outcomes.About This RoleWhat You’ll Do:Lead and grow engineering teams focused on front-end applications and API platforms supporting Credit Card PartnershipsBuild a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and talent developmentDrive modern engineering practices across web and API development, including architecture, quality, security, and scalabilityPartner with Product, Business, and Technology leaders to deliver customer and partner-facing capabilities that enable growth and innovationDefine and execute technology roadmaps aligned to Credit Card and enterprise strategic prioritiesServe as a technical leader and escalation point, guiding solution design and resolving complex challengesEnsure strong integration across front-end, API, and back-end systems, balancing modernization with existing platform realitiesLead adoption of agile delivery and continuous delivery practices across teamsManage vendor relationships and third-party integrations supporting digital and API capabilitiesProvide leadership oversight for production systems, ensuring reliability, resiliency, and responsivenessThe Ideal Candidate For This RoleWhat We’re Looking For:A proven people leader with a track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing engineering teamsStrong software engineering background with hands-on experience in front-end and API developmentExperience delivering modern, customer-facing digital platforms at scaleDeep understanding of modern architectures (e.g., RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven design, cloud-native patterns)Ability to translate business strategy into clear technology direction in partnership with Product and Business leadersExperience leading agile teams with a focus on continuous delivery and continuous improvementStrong communication and influence skills, with the ability to align across technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience managing vendors and integrating third-party platformsStrong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and prioritizationQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams7+ years of experience in software engineeringPreferred ExperienceFinancial services, payments, or credit card ecosystem experienceExperience supporting customer-facing digital platforms and integrations with external systemsFamiliarity with API ecosystems and external partner integrationsWhy Join FNBO In This RoleLead technology for a strategic, high-growth partnership businessShape how FNBO delivers modern, API-driven credit experiencesBuild and develop high-performing engineering teams with real impactPartner directly with business leaders to influence product and growth strategyCandidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.CompensationCompensation range (base pay): $136,655.00-$232,313.00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.Work EnvironmentIt is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work onsite at the posted location.
