This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSet-up & shutdown of machineDemonstrate mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain production equipment and ability to use basic inspections toolsUnderstand machine setup parameters, tooling, and process controls to ensure consistent weld qualityRead and interpret blueprints and welding proceduresInspects completed work for conformance to specificationsWorking in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment, including PPESafely execute job tasks while meeting productivity goalsIdentify and report workplace hazards to supervision; remedy identified hazards if within abilityAll other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without noticeRequirementsSuccessfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsPrior experience as a machine operator, preferably in a precision or regulated manufacturing setting or 1-3 years of experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing or production environmentKnowledge of stainless-steel tubing/piping and basic welding principlesPreferred: Welding certifications or experience in high purity/regulated industriesStrong ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges)Must be safety conscious and a team playerPhysical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobilitySalary: This position is a Union position. Per Union contract this position pays $29.99. New employees hired shall receive eighty-five percent (85%) of the full rate for the first three months of employment, ninety percent (90%) of the rate for the next three months, and ninety-five (95%) of the rate for the next six months. Travel is required for training.
