If this sounds interesting, we’d like to meet you.\nJob Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer (Onsite)\nReporting to the Engineering Manager - Production Support is responsible to design the electrical functionality of a product and have responsibility for specifications, component selection, circuit design, electrical testing and final product electrical performance.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nDevelop electrical designs for critical power systems (variety from standard to robust and complex)\nMeeting with stakeholders to establish their requirements for a new or existing product or electrical system.\nWorking with a team of engineers and CAD designers on engineering projects.\nCreates user friendly operation and maintenance manuals\nValidates testing using manual procedures, testing tools and database queries, as required.\nCross functional team relationships with design engineers, quality department and production team\nWork with quality team on assessing quality metrics and analyzing current Product Design and Production times\nBuild a culture of electrical safety in the department and throughout the company\nCreating prototypes, testing them, and analyzing the results.\nValidates testing using manual procedures, testing tools and database queries, as required\nProviding support during the entire building process to ensure that the design specifications are met.\nAnalyzing problems that may arise during the manufacturing process and recommending solutions.\nKnowledge of PLC programming,controls and ERP/SAP.\nDeliverables include initial technical support, inter-departmental interaction and correspondence, generation of Bill of Materials (BOMs), production & drawing/instruction packages, factory/on-site acceptance test plans, Operation & Maintenance manuals, submittals/deliverables & project close-out, and job cost analysis.\nManaging change control.\nResponsibilities may include some travel and/or availability for other than normal business hours.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team,\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years’ electrical design experience, preferably with critical power distribution, switchgear, etc.\nKnowledge of UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, UL 67 Panelboards, UL 857 Busway, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 62368/60950 Information Technology Equipment, as applicable is preferred.\nCandidates must be able to understand electrical system diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and be able to perform troubleshooting in accordance with Test Engineer/Shift Test Engineer documentation when required.\nDemonstrated proficiency in or with programs similar to AutoCAD Electrical and various MS Office applications.\nExcellent organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and multitasking capability.\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
