Job DescriptionHydraulic Engineer, EPIC MidstreamSan Antonio, TX 78258We represent a full-time, benefited, and direct hire opportunity for EPIC Midstream*BENEFITS SUMMARY:Annual Discretionary BonusPlatinum-Level Medical CoverageDental and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off10 Paid Holidaysa 401(k) with a Generous Company MatchCompany-Paid Life, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability InsuranceOptional Additional Life Insurance AvailableDependent Care AccountsPet InsurancePhysical & Mental Health Wellness ProgramsHSA IncentiveFlexible Spending AccountsORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:This position reports to the Technical Services ManagerReporting directly to this position: N/APOSITION SUMMARY:Provide technical expertise related to the construction, operation, improvement, and optimization of EPIC's assets to both internal and external customers, including Commercial, Operations, Control Room, and ManagementKnowledge related to the design, construction, and operation of liquid pipelines, terminals, and processing facilities is required, along with a working knowledge of all applicable codes and standards (PHMSA, ASME, API, NEC, etc.)An understanding of steady state and transient hydraulic analyses of pipelines, and performance and specification of pipeline drag reducing agent is preferredRESPONSIBILITIES:Interface with Commercial department to provide technical support and recommendations related to potential, pending, and / or active customer connectionsInterface with Operations, Measurement, Asset Integrity, Control Room, and other stakeholders as necessary in order to determine feasibility and requirements for new customer connectionsCompile Preliminary Project Scope and Cost Estimates for new connections and / or projects. Ensure major technical and operational requirements are accounted for prior to finalization of Commercial Agreement(s) and AFE(s)Execute projects that do not meet the threshold for transfer to the Capital Projects group, including finalization of Project Plan and Cost Estimate, completion of AFE and MOC, design coordination as necessary, construction management, PSSR, commissioning, and project closeoutFacilitate transfer of projects to the Capital Projects group when requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Experience may be considered in place of a degreeAt least 3 years applicable experience in Engineering and Project Management, with exposure to liquid pipelines and terminalsSKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to read and interpret technical information such as P&IDs, PFDs, equipment specifications, and construction drawingsPC-based skills, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point and Project)Must be aware of company and government safety regulations and maintain a high regard for the safety of company employees and assets, and the general publicMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license, passport, and a satisfactory driving recordTravel (up to 25%), often overnight, to contractor or EPIC / partner sites for site visits, commissioning, etc., as well as to attend meetings and conferences.
