Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking friendly and motivated Cashiers/Sales Associates to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find the products they need. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections and inquiries Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, including overseeing daily store operations Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and store environment Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction Retail math skills for handling transactions, discounts, and inventory counts Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments preferred Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance the shopping experience Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
