Food and Beverage Manager

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Establishes client food & beverage and operational needs for the eventDevelops menus for events and establishes pricing for servicesAssists in developing work plans, including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinatesOversees Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standardsAssists with the creation of Food and Beverage sales for facility events.Maintains inventory controlAssists with analysis of information concerning facility operations such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesManages employees in the Food & Beverage DepartmentIs responsible for the overall direction, coordination, of staffCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Director of Food & Beverage; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.Education and/or ExperienceMinimum 3 years experience in a management level position in Food & Beverage or training or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior supervisory experience preferredSkills and AbilitiesExcellent organizational and planning skillsStrong customer service orientationPhenomenal communication and interpersonal skillsCommon knowledge of point-of-sale systemsKeen eye for detail and extraordinary time management skillsComputer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.Other QualificationsAbility to work with limited supervisionAbility to interact with all levels of staff, including management.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to regular business hours.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
