At SAS, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.\nCome innovate with us!\nPosition Summary\nSamsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an equipment engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere's what you'll be responsible for:\nMonitoring the wafer fabrication equipment and respond to issues\nQualifying new manufacturing equipment\nCoordinating the scheduling of equipment qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing\nUsing software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.\nMaking adjustments when equipment parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance.\nExecuting in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.\nCommunicating technical information within the department through presentations.\nContinuously revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nDeveloping improved processes to increase capability.\nMonitoring operations costs and develop cost reduction projects\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nBS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (3.0 GPA for new grads)\nScripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language\nUnderstanding of statistical methods\nUnderstanding of Change Point Management, and of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles\nStructure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc..)\nSoftware Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.)\nTroubleshooting Equipment or Process failures\nAbility to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to lift < 35 lbs and work in tight fitting, FAB environment sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods of time\nMay be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights\nAbility to discern audible alarms\nPotential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals\nSupport and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nTotal Rewards\nAt Samsung SAS, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
