Plan and schedule repairs.\n\nAssist Engineering in planning for and supervising the preliminary installation operations, movement, and erection of new machines or for plant layout changeovers.\n\nProvide instruction, guidance, and supervision for the machining of repair parts, fabrication of details, erection, assembly, and fitting of bearings, gear trains, alignment or working parts, etc.\n\nSupervise and coordinate the preventative maintenance program.\n\nCoordinate the activities of contractors, factory representatives, and others engaged in repairing, overhauling, and rebuilding special or highly intricate and precise machinery.\n\nParticipate in and coordinate company programs, e.g., communications, job training, vacation schedules, lock‑out/tag‑out, hazard communication, etc.\n\nMonitor the use of safety devices and equipment, general housekeeping, and maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices.\n\nMaintain an adequate and efficient workforce by skill requirements and work levels and schedule man‑hours.\n\nMaintain conformance with rules and regulations.\n\nMaintain adequate record‑keeping per department requirements.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training as a machinist or in another trade is desirable.\n\nExperience: At least six years of prior general plant and machine maintenance experience.
