These assemblies require soldering, following procedures, and reading schematics and drawings. You will also be responsible for the construction, integration, and test of custom cabling harnesses. You will be working with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to assemble, test, and calibrate electronics for lasers. You will also contribute to building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying developmental and production electronic systems independently, or under the direction of an electrical or optical engineer. This position is based in our Niwot, CO office. This is a non-exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nAssemble and test electro-optical and electronics units for production based on designs, specifications, and procedures.\nConstruct, integrate, and test custom cabling harnesses as needed.\nSet up test apparatus and conduct testing of electrical, optical, and electro-optical production assemblies following established methods, procedures, specifications, and standards.\nAdjust and calibrate systems as required.\nFills out assembly and test documentation. May write and edit procedures\nAssists in troubleshooting failures to identify root causes of malfunctions.
