Sandblaster and Painter

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or finishing by using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Sandblaster will play a crucial role in ensuring that all surfaces are properly treated and ready for subsequent processes. Responsibilities Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces. Ensure proper setup and maintenance of sandblasting machines. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times. Inspect surfaces before and after treatment to ensure quality standards are met. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements. Assist with other maintenance person tasks as needed, including plastering, trim carpentry, caulking, drywall installation, and remodeling. Experience Previous experience in sandblasting or related fields such as industrial painting or commercial painting is preferred. Familiarity with various surface preparation techniques and materials. Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the renovation process. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
