Electrical Controls Engineer

Our Electrical Controls Engineers design, troubleshoot, and PLC program electrical controls for current and new industrial automation equipment being introduced. Candidate must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver. Projects generally vary from one to the next, therefore our engineers must thrive on variety and enjoy taking on new challenges.Palmer is a global company specializing in the production of heavy-duty no-bake foundry equipment. Our company provides sales, service, and support to customers in the United States and numerous countries worldwide. We are searching for a qualified candidate to fill our Electrical Controls Engineer position.Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:Create and maintain electrical drawings for new and current modelsLayout of electrical control cabinetsWork with engineering department to keep systems current with technology and electrical standardsWrite PLC programs for industrial equipmentAssist production with proper techniques for electrical control panel wiring and PLC programmingAssist with design and development of electrical software programs for new and upgrades of current productsWork with customers, service team, and engineering team on solving technical problems and trainingSome customer support travel required (estimated 10%); daily on-site when not traveling
