In this role, you will be responsible for:\n\nLeading and coordinating design development efforts for optimal solutions for the logistics network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, ergonomics, associate experience, operational considerations and Fulfillment center layout interferences.\nDeveloping and continuously improving technical and design specifications for automated and nonautomated Material Handling Equipment.\nDriving standardization with quantification and documentation of core design principles using Lean methods.\nIdentifying and testing new technologies to continuously improve processes.\nSupporting post-mortem on designs and specifications after implementation in partnering with customers, stakeholders and supplier/integrators.\nWorking closely with partner teams in Safety, ergonomics and Operations to build impactful products.\nDeveloping performance specifications for facilities and equipment meeting unique operating requirements and safety codes.\nDomestic travel up to 90% of time to perform role responsibilities may be required.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field\n1+ year of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related occupation.\n1+ year of experience in leading projects, programs or initiatives with continually increasing scope and impact.\n1+ year of experience in managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems.\nExperience in CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n2+ years of construction or project management, or 2+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience\nExperience leading large-scale programs/projects\n\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\n\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
