Kimber Mfg., Inc.Job DescriptionJob Title: Engineer Intern (Product Engineering)Location: Troy, ALClassification: Non-ExemptGrade: HourlyDepartment: Product EngineeringReports To: Product Engineering ManagerDate: May 5, 2026SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe Engineer Intern position is a key product engineering individual contributor responsible for supporting the ongoing development, testing, and support of various firearm products and platforms to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Objectives. The Engineer Intern will work under the mentorship of other engineers and similar supervisors and collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to provide support in achieving the goals defined and established by upper management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupport ongoing new product development activities including design, drafting, data analysis, problem solving, testing, and documentation effortsSupport sustaining engineering activities for existing production firearms platforms including design, drafting, data analysis, problem solving, testing, and documentation effortsProvide frequent updates in an effective and efficient manner through formal and informal communication, email, and presentations to employees and leadersLead and execute one or more projects for internship term, as developed and agreed upon with managerComplete other duties as assigned by managerQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITYThis position requires various reasoning abilities in order to be successful such as:Ability to collect and document dataAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to perform complex and varied tasksAbility to perform simple, repetitive tasks for an extended period of timeCOMPUTER SKILLSRequired knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform. MS PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Solid Works a plus.OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIESAttendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends.
