This role requires advanced technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently on complex accounting tasks while supporting month-end and year-end close processes.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & AnalysisAnalyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvementPrepare management reports and financial analysis as neededGeneral Ledger & Accounting OperationsPrepare journal entriesManage and review general ledger entries and account reconciliationsOversee month-end and year-end close processesMaintain chart of accounts and ensure proper account codingAccounts Payable/ReceivableOversee AP/AR processes and resolve complex issuesReview vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment processingMonitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding itemsCompliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policiesSupport internal and external audit processesMaintain documentation and support for financial transactionsImplement and monitor internal controlsWhy We Value YouEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredCPA certification preferred (or actively pursuing)Experience5+ years of progressive accounting experience5+ years of inventory and cost accounting experienceExperience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reportingStart up and manufacturing experience requiredPublic accounting experience is a plusOdoo17 experience a plusTechnical SkillsExperience with accounting systems integrationUsing AI to improve processes and systemsWorking with large databases from multiple systems for reconciliationsAdvanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Odoo17, etc.)Strong understanding of GAAP principlesKnowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirementsCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to pivot in a start up environmentExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to handle confidential information with discretionThe pay range for this role is: $114,422 - $165,000The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base salary range in the San Francisco Bay Area and excludes additional earnings such as bonus and benefits. Similarly, positions requiring the ability to work on government contracts or a security clearance are also contingent upon the applicants ability to receive the appropriate clearance and be allowed to work on U.S. government contracts.
