Job Description Job Title: Data Architect Finance (GL, AR, AP) with Strong Azure Services W2 Role 12+ years of exp only- please dont submit if you dont have Finance (GL, AR, AP) experience Complete remote Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with strong expertise in financial domains including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP). The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand complex business data and design scalable, efficient data models that support financial reporting, analytics, and compliance. This role requires deep experience in architecting modern data platforms using Microsoft Azure.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand business requirements and translate them intoscalable data architecture and data models . Designconceptual, logical, and physical data modelsfor finance systems (GL, AR, AP). Architect and implementend-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure . Build and maintainenterprise data warehouse and data lake architectures . Integrate data fromERP systems(SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and other upstream sources. Develop and optimizeETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks . Enablebatch and real-time data processingusing Azure-native services. Ensuredata quality, consistency, and reconciliationacross financial systems. Supportfinancial reportingincluding P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Implementdata governance, lineage, and catalogingusing Azure Purview. Collaborate with finance, business, and engineering teams for solution delivery. Optimizeperformance, scalability, security, and reliabilityof data platforms. Core Skills & QualificationsStrong ability tounderstand business data and design effective data models . Expertise indata modeling techniques(ER modeling, dimensional modeling star/snowflake schema). Strong hands-on experience withMicrosoft Azure data services , including:Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) Azure Databricks Azure SQL Database / Managed Instance Azure Event Hub & Stream Analytics (real-time ingestion) Azure Functions & Logic Apps (integration and automation) Azure Purview (data governance and lineage)Experience withdata warehousing platforms(Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery). Strong proficiency inSQL and data transformation frameworks . Knowledge ofETL tools(Informatica, Talend, DataStage, ADF). Familiarity withBI tools(Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy). Understanding ofdata lakehouse architecture and medallion design(Bronze/Silver/Gold). Strong understanding ofaccounting principles and financial processes .
