This role integrates peer support services with milieu leadership to enhance patient engagement, reinforce recovery culture, and support the daily flow of programming.Using lived experience and behavioral health knowledge, this position provides non-clinical peer mentorship to patients while supporting staff in maintaining a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment. The role is integral in engaging patients during admission, detoxification, transitions in care, and throughout treatment.CORE JOB DUTIES:Provide peer-based recovery supportEngage patients during admission and treatmentSupport recovery goal identificationFacilitate peer recovery groupsSupport therapeutic milieu structureAssist with de-escalation within scopeObserve and report behavioral changesSupport transitions and discharge planningDocument services appropriatelyMaintain professional boundariesThis position does not include clinical assessments, therapy, treatment planning, or medical decision-making.OTHER REQUIRED DUTIES:Assists in developing and coordinating monthly patient activities calendar (both onsite and offsite activities)Document in accordance with program requirements. Provide program information to prospective clients and families as needed. Maintain clear communications with supervisors and co-workers. Participate in staff meetings as needed.
