Civil professionals contribute to site development efforts, including grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities.\n\nThe Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Staff Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development of high quality engineering deliverables for these complex infrastructure projects. Under general supervision, this position performs technical tasks requiring intermediate knowledge of engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying site development plans using industry standard design tools, such as Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation.\n\nFunctions in a project engineering technician capacity.\n\nUnder general direction, supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.\n\nApplies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts and solutions.\n\nUtilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.\n\nProvides technical guidance and may offer direction to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs.\n\nSkills: Key Responsibilities\n\nApplies knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes and CLIENT policies and procedures.\n\nMay review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.\n\nProactively applies CLIENT Quality Program to deliverables.
