Read and follow plans, material lists and guidelines and apply necessary timelines to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.\nManage subcontractor work to insure quality and observe methods of construction\nMay assist with basic estimating, Informs Project Manager of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database\nSupervise trades crew and prioritize work\nConduct regular tailgate safety meetings\nOrganize, lead and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe\nEnforce all company safety policies and procedures\nEnforce all client-required safety policies and procedures\nSubmit hourly employee timesheets into payroll by deadline and ensures that hours are assigned properly\nRelate to the public, employees, and to customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their comments and inquiries.\nThe ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong - to recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems. Communicate with all involved parties as to status of project (i.e., Project Manager, Customer, Employee, Sub-Contractor, etc.)\nCoordinate manpower needs\nMay initiate purchase requisitions, field design changes, etc., which must be reviewed and approved by the Project Manager\nAttend face-to-face meetings with clients, project progress meetings and internal departmental meetings\nKeep records of the materials used\nConsistent regular on-site attendance is a requirement of the job\nTravel to various job sites with own transportation\nOther miscellaneous duties as assigned by immediate supervisor\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nSupervision of trades labor, sub-contract labor and construction helpers. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.\nComputer Skills:\nAbility to use email effectively and efficiently\nBasic knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, and Word\nUse of additional software programs such as PowerPoint and Microsoft Project a plus\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
