Vice President of Marketing – Specialty ManufacturingAre you a seasoned marketing executive looking to join a well-established Specialty Manufacturing firm as a part of their senior leadership team? We are helping our client, an industry leading Connecticut based manufacturer of specialized industrial products with multiple locations and multiple business lines both domestically and internationally, find a Vice President of Marketing to serve as a member of the senior leadership team, guiding the marketing and brand identity of the firm as they work to ensure the firm is properly positioned in the marketplace in all market channels.The primary function of this position is to oversee the firm’s marketing team, overseeing the strategic initiatives and direction for how the brand is positioned competitively in all markets. This role is both operational in nature as well as strategic. Early on, this role will own the conversion of a traditional order-taking environment into an e-commerce platform for a specific area of the business, high-volume commodities/consumables. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in a similar environment, ideally CPG, Food/Beverage and/or HVAC.Essential Functions of the Vice President of Marketing – Specialty ManufacturingManage a distributed team of marketing professionals that support the firm’s marketing effortsFacilitate conversion of traditional order-taking environment to e-commerce platform for one specific high-volume commodities/consumables divisionDevelop, document, and implement efficiency-enabling processes and identify and vet tools and technologies that facilitate these processesOversee the development, maintenance, and extension of the firm's brand identityEnsure consistency in messaging and branding across all market channelsOversee the creation of high-quality, relevant content for various marketing channels (website, social media, whitepapers, etc.), ensuring that it aligns with the firm's messaging and resonates with the target audienceOversee/manage outside marketing vendors and contractorsAnalyze digital marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions and recommendationsUse analytic tools to track KPIs, optimize marketing strategies, and provide regular reports to executive leadershipDevelop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm's overall business objectivesIdentify target markets and client segments and create strategies to reach and engage them effectivelyUse market insights to inform marketing strategies and identify new opportunitiesDevelop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectivelyDevelop and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and loyaltyKnowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Vice President of Marketing – Specialty ManufacturingProven track record of serving as a leader of marketing in a manufacturing environmentPlayer/Coach mindsetStrategic thinker capable of driving marketing initiatives in multiple complimentary divisionsExceptionally high Emotional Quotient, ability to connect with peopleAbility to operate in a very high-paced and dynamic environmentHigh ethical standardsAbility to put systems in place to ensure timely, accurate and meaningful reportingDemonstrated ability to develop and effectively implement a strategic visionAbility to mentor and connect with both junior and senior level team membersStrong systems judgment and understanding of othersTraining and Experience Requirements for the Vice President of Marketing – Specialty ManufacturingBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related fieldMaster’s degree a plus10+ years of marketing and sales experience including managerial experienceReferenceable experience migrating commodities to integrated e-commerce platformsMarketing experience in HVAC, CPG and/or Food and BeverageExperience developing and growing a business development and marketing teamKey Words: Vice President of Marketing, CMO, Marketing, Director of Marketing, Sales, Professional Services
