Work 36 hours, while getting paid for 40 hours!Machine Operator Responsibilities:Operate multiple types of fabrication equipmentOperate tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard chartsPlace and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenchesLoad, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blueprintsComplete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devicesComplete work order paperworkPerform in-process inspection according to standard proceduresMaintain count and perform packaging duties as requiredParticipate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the departmentPerform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubricationMaintain a clean and organized work areaRequirements for Machine Operator:High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experiencePrevious experience in a manufacturing industry preferredExcellent math skillsAbility to understand drawing and blueprintsAbility to use basic measuring instrumentsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work overtime as neededAbility to lift up to 40lbsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
