Performs equipment changeover, start-ups and shut-downs, conducts routine inspections, safety checks, and quality testing, and completes required production records. Troubleshoots process and equipment issues, and follows standard operating procedures to maximize productivity, equipment performance, and product quality.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:\nFollows LOTO and OSHA requirements outlined by the EHS department and based on the Standard Operating Procedures for this equipment.\nAlways wears the assigned PPE and follows the PPE guidelines set by the business.\nDoes not operate any equipment, machinery, or tool if not trained to operate.\nEnsures the Safety requirements and controls are respected and executed in their extrusion line work environment.\nReports any non-conformance noticed - Safety, Quality or Process related.\nSets up the materials as per the production schedule to ensure quality and performance of the line.\nCommunicates equipment failure or malfunction to the maintenance team or Supervisor immediately.\nSets the extrusion line to achieve quality and performance objectives\nPerforms inspections and checks to ensure Safety, Quality and Performance.\nExecutes the changeover process, performing the necessary steps to ensure accurate and efficient procedure\nPerforms production line start-up and shut down procedures.\nCompletes and executes the quality plan in Inspecting and testing the raw materials and finished products.\nPerforms material and production records\nResponsible for the production line Performance ( OEE, Scrap, Downtime, etc.)\nPerforms process routine inspections checks to ensure process compliance, quality and performance\nCollaborates with team members and support areas\nProvides guidance to machine operators on production process subjects\nTroubleshoots production process and support systems issues.\nOther duties assigned by the management team to ensure the completion of production and based on the needs of the business.\nEDUCATION\nHigh school diploma or GED desirable but not required.\nEXPERIENCE\n3 years of experience in an industrial environment\nPlastic Industry experience preferred but not required\nMinimum of 3–5 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience training or leading employees.
